Charleston Baptist Church’s Worship Team is comprised of adults and includes vocalists and band members committed to praising our Lord through music and also includes our “behind the scenes” tech team.

MINISTRY PURPOSE
The CB Worship ministry exists to facilitate biblical and relevant worship experiences that engage the heart of every multi-generational worshiper, encourage the body of Christ, and encounter the power and presence of God.

VISION & MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission and vision is to develop the heart of worshipers and inspire them to impact the world around them – while worshipping, growing, connecting, and serving together.  We desire to lead the congregation into deeper worship – bringing God’s people to His throne through musical excellence, creativity, and passion.  Above all, we desire for God to be glorified through everything that is done through the worship ministry.

CB Worship is dedicated and passionate about leading our congregation in “spirit and truth” through biblical worship (John 4:24).

Worship Choir

The Worship Choir is a multi-generational community of passionate worshipers committed to leading our church in praise.  More than a group of vocalists, the choir is a family.  Here, many find fellowship, spiritual growth, and ministry fulfillment.  The Worship Choir leads worship each Sunday during both services and participates in seasonal presentations throughout the year.  We are providing ways to allow as many people as possible be a part of the Worship Choir, while still being unified and prepared to give our best to God in leading worship.  Anyone is welcomed to join whether they can sing in one service or both services or whether they can attend one rehearsal or all rehearsals.

Want to join?
We are looking for singers who have a heart for worship, love for Jesus, and a desire to make Jesus known.  No formal training or musical background is required – only a heart for worship and a willingness to praise. Rehearsals:
Wednesdays |  5:45 – 6:10 pm   | rehearsal for students and for adults that be involved in other ministries or lifegroups on Wednesdays at 6:15 pm
Wednesdays |  6:15 – 7:45 pm   | regular rehearsal for choir members
Sundays        |  8:30 – 9:00 am  | rehearsal with entire worship choir, praise team, and worship band

Services:
Sundays | 9:15 am (call time is 9:00 am in choir rehearsal suite)
Sundays | 11:00 am (call time is 10:45 am in choir rehearsal suite)

Worship Band

The Worship Band is a group of instrumentalists that lead our congregation in weekly worship.  Volunteers are committed to the Worship Team and to the Church- serving on Sundays and rehearsals on Wednesdays.  Many instrumentalists serve on a rotational basis.

Want to join?
An audition and interview are required to join the Worship Band.   If you would like more information on the Worship Band or if you are interested in serving in this ministry, please contact Pastor Shaun.

Praise Team

The Praise Team is a small group of vocalists that lead our congregation in weekly worship in conjunction with the Worship Choir.  This team adds musical definition to the vocal parts.  Volunteers are committed to the Worship Team (as a whole), to the Worship Choir, and to the Church. Volunteers serve on a weekly, rotational basis for all services on scheduled Sundays.

Want to join?
A vocal audition and interview are required, if you would like to join the Praise Team.  If you would like more information on the Praise Team or if you are interested in serving in this ministry, please contact Pastor Shaun.
