When and where were you born?
August 30, 1978 in Myrtle Beach, SC

What type of home life did you experience as young person?
Though I did not grow up in a Christian home, I did grow up in a very loving home.  My parents did everything they could to give us the best upbringing they could.

How did you come to have a relationship with Jesus Christ?
I will never forget the first time I heard the Gospel. I was in the 10th grade and was invited to come to Wednesday night Youth Group at Old Fort Baptist Church. That night a ministry team from out of state came to minister to us. I distinctly remember hearing the name of Jesus Christ for the first time. By the end of the night a man from the ministry team sat down and shared with me, using a napkin, how my sin separated me from God and how Jesus was the only way to bridge that gap. I did not leave that night saved, but the seed was planted.

During the next three years, though not in church, I began to think about that night and the picture that the man drew on the napkin. High School came and went and I started school at the College of Charleston. Through a series of events, I was invited to another Youth Group Wednesday night service at Summerville Baptist Church. At the age of 19, knowing that my desperate attempts to find meaning and fulfillment would never succeed, the love of Jesus over powered me.

That night Jesus Christ came into my life and through faith in him, He gave me a new heart, a new life, forgiveness of all my past, present and future sins. The Holy Spirit revealed to me the joy of salvation, which continues to this day.
