The mid-week service is designed to be an informal gathering of those who want a more personal approach to spiritual growth. It is a time for praise and prayer for specific needs and to bring before the Lord those burdens and cares that press upon us. The praise and prayer time is usually held in the main sanctuary from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm with a bible study from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
During the praise and prayer time, we divide into smaller groups of 3-10 people and share any praise or prayer requests. By using smaller groups, it gives us the opportunity to learn more about each other and to provide a less intimidating environment.
After some time of sharing, we have a time of prayer where each person may pray if they want. If you don’t want to pray, that’s okay. There is no pressure to pray. There may be times where you just don’t even no where to start praying. That’s okay, too.
After everyone has been given the opportunity to pray, a member of the congregation will usually lead all the groups in a final prayer at the conclusion of the praise and prayer time.
A nursery is available for children aged birth to age 2, while children aged 3 to K5. Depending on the time of year, preschoolers attend preschool classes or Awana Club’s Scripture Memory Program.
Children from K5 to 5th grade are also invited to attend our Awana Club’s program beginning at 6:15 pm and ending at 7:45 pm.
Youth have a time of fun and fellowship and meet in the Youth Room from 6:15 pm and to about 7:45 pm.
