The God of Restoration”

Psalm 23:3, “He Restores My Soul…”
There are three main areas where God’s people need restoration:
I. Some people like David need restoration from sin. Psalm 51:12, “Restore unto me the joy of my salvation…”
II. Some people like Elijah need restoration from stress. I Kings 19:4, “….and he prayed that he might die, and said,
It is enough! Now Lord take my life, for I am no better than my fathers.”
III. Some people like Asaph need restoration from disillusionment. Psalm 73:2-3, “ I almost tripped… when I saw the
prosperity of the wicked.”
Life lessons:
1. Look to God.
2. Look to God with praise and thanksgiving.
3. Believe that God is able to restore. Eph.3:20, “Now unto him who is able to do exceedingly
abundantly above all we can ask or think…” Heb. 2:18 “…..He is able to aid those who are tempted.”
4. We must be willing to do our part.
a. If we need restoration from sin we need to repent.
b. If we need restoration from stress we need to rest.
c. If we need restoration from disillusionment we need to
remember.
Truly the Lord is the God of great restoration!
