Ephesians 2:1-7
Question #1: Why do I need new life in Christ?
I was dead in my sin. (Ephesians 2:1a; 4:18, Genesis 2:16-17, Romans 5:12)
I was disobedient in my walk. (Ephesians 2:1-2a; 4:19, Romans 3:23)
I was dominated by the world, the devil, and my flesh. (Ephesians 2:2b-3a, Philippians 3:4-6)
I was doomed to an eternity separated from God. (Ephesians 2:3b, John 3:18, 36; Romans 1:18-20)
Question #2: What does it mean to be made new?
It means we are greatly loved. (Ephesians 2:4)
It means we are made alive with Christ. (Ephesians 2:5)
It means we are raised with Christ. (Ephesians 2:6a)
It means we are seated with Christ. (Ephesians 2:6b)
Question #3: Why?
The joy of God’s glory. (Ephesians 2:7)
