Faith Works: Patience in Suffering

James 5:7-12

Truth #1: Be patient in your suffering because the Lord is coming. (James 5:7a)

Truth #2: Be patient in your suffering because the Lord is working. (James 1:2-4; 5:7b-8, Joel 2:23, Hosea 6:3, Philippians 1:6)

Truth #3: Be patient in your suffering with one another. (James 3:18; 5:9, 1 Peter 4:7-8, Galatians 6:9)

Truth #4: Be patient in your suffering because the Lord’s promises are true. (James 5:10-11, Hebrews 11:35-38, Romans 8:18, Job 1:21; 42:1-6)

Response:

-Stand firm in Jesus. (James 1:12; 5:12, Hebrews 12:1-2, Psalm 55:22)
