Redeeming Kindness
Ruth 2:14-23
Redeem: means to pay the necessary price for someone’s freedom, someone’s debt, or to cover someone’s past
mistakes.
Truth #1: Redeeming kindness is found in the invitation.
-It’s an invitation of grace. (Ruth 2:14)
-It’s an invitation of generosity. (Ruth 2:15-16)
-It’s an invitation that crosses cultural and ethnic barriers. (Ruth 2:14, Matthew 4:18-22)
Application: The invisible God becomes visible through the hands and hearts of His people.
Truth #2: Redeeming kindness leads to blessings.
-God shows me the blessing of abundance. (Ruth 2:14, 17-19)
-God shows me the blessing of repentance. (Ruth 1:19-21; 2:20-21)
-God shows me the blessing of contentment. (Ruth 2:21-23, Isaiah 64:4)
