Redeeming Care
Ruth 2
Redeem: means to pay the necessary price for someone’s freedom, someone’s debt, or to cover someone’s past
mistakes.
Big Idea: Boaz gives us a picture of our Redeemer.
Boaz was a man of substance. (Ruth 2:1, Matthew 3:17)
Boaz cares for the vulnerable. (Ruth 2:2-3, Leviticus 19:9-10, Luke 4:18-19)
Boaz walks humbly among his servants. (Ruth 2:4, Matthew 1:23)
Boaz sees the harvest field differently. (Ruth 2:5-6; 8-9, Matthew 9:36-38)
Boaz overflows with immeasurable grace. (Ruth 2:14, Ephesians 2:7)
How will I respond to the redeeming care of Jesus found in the Book of Ruth?
Trust in the One who cares for you. (Ruth 2:7, 11-12)
Worship the One who cares for you. (Ruth 2:10, 13)
