Disaster Relief from Hurricane Matthew
This past week, due to the effects of Hurricane Matthew, many in our church family and local community are left with the task of getting back to normal as quickly as possible.
The reality is, these types of events can be very difficult to process and transition through. It’s in times like this where the love of Christ expressed through the local church can be extremely valuable. We may not be able to control when running water or electricity will be restored, we can however be the active hands and feet of Jesus.
We are aware of several specific needs in our church family and community and thankfully we are in the process of meeting those needs. As known needs arise, please allow our local church and our partnership with the Disaster Relief ministry do our best to meet those needs.
We are encouraged and thankful for the many small groups, Sunday School classes, and individuals who have graciously stepped in and supported those in need. We encourage you to continue ministering to our community by:
- praying with and for them
- providing a helping hand in clean up
- providing food or clothing where needed
- and simply spending time with them.
Thank you all for your continued love for Jesus and for others!
